Most furnace companies in Canada do not have a lead problem in November. They have a systems problem. The phone rings, but calls go to voicemail at 4:40 p.m., advisors present one price instead of three, quotes sit unanswered for nine days, and the owner finds out in March what the season actually earned. FurnaceBusiness.ca fixes those parts of the business, one system at a time.
FurnaceBusiness.ca comes from the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, run out of Vancouver, British Columbia, under Ali Sedighi, MBA. We work with residential furnace and heating companies in every province and territory. We are a marketing and business consulting service: we never install, repair or service furnaces, and every technical decision stays with your licensed staff.
What a furnace company's revenue system is made of
A furnace company earns money through six linked routines, and the weakest one sets the ceiling for the rest. If you fix marketing but leave the home visit unscripted, the extra leads simply produce extra unsigned quotes.
- Booking and dispatch. Who answers, how calls are triaged (no-heat, replacement estimate, tune-up), and how the board is held together during a cold snap. See dispatch and peak-season capacity.
- The in-home visit. What the comfort advisor does from the driveway to the kitchen table. See the comfort-advisor sales process.
- The proposal. Three honest options instead of one take-it-or-leave-it number. See good/better/best option design.
- Follow-up. A written cadence for every unsigned quote. See quote follow-up systems.
- Memberships. The maintenance base that fills the shoulder season. See membership plan systems.
- Owner reporting. One page, every Monday. See owner reporting and scoreboards.
A quick check you can run this week
You can estimate what your follow-up gap costs in about ten minutes. Pull last month's furnace replacement quotes and count how many are still open with no recorded follow-up.
Say you wrote 40 replacement quotes, closed 14, and 18 of the remaining 26 never got a second contact. If your average replacement ticket is $7,000 and a structured follow-up recovers even three of those 18, that is $21,000 in work you already paid to generate. Run your own numbers the same way; the point is to see the gap in dollars before deciding whether it is worth fixing.
Do the same with memberships: count how many no-heat and tune-up calls last season ended without the plan being offered. That number is usually the cheapest growth in the business.
How we work with a furnace shop
We start with the stage that leaks the most, not with a long audit. Most owners can tell us where it hurts in a short call, and the numbers usually confirm it within a week.
- Look. We review a sample of booked calls, a handful of written quotes, your membership list and last season's schedule.
- Write it down. You get a short written summary: the biggest leak, the likely cause, and what we would change first.
- Build with your people. Scripts, option sheets, follow-up templates, dispatch rules and a scoreboard, adjusted after your advisors and dispatchers try them.
- Measure. Close rate, average ticket, follow-up completion, membership attach rate and booked hours per tech, tracked weekly.
The about page explains who does the work, and the guides show the methods in detail so you can try them yourself first.
Proof from our HVAC work
Our case studies come from marketing work for heating and HVAC companies, and we present them as exactly that. HVACDeal.ca produced 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI. CanroHeat.ca saw 250% lead growth, and BCWide.ca tripled its leads in 90 days. When lead flow rises like that, the booking line, the advisor's calendar and the follow-up routine are what decide how much of it turns into installed systems. That is the part this site is about. More detail is on the results page, and the full list sits on HVAC.Agency's case studies.
Where we work and what it costs
We work with furnace companies across Canada, and each province has its own fuel mix, heating season and rules. Prairie shops plan around a long, hard winter, while coastal BC shops see a shorter peak and more heat pump questions. The areas page covers every province and territory.
Marketing plans follow the published HVAC.Agency prices, and systems work is quoted in writing; the pricing page has the details, with GST/HST added based on your province (GST and QST in Quebec). Work opens with a 7-day free trial; you need no credit card and you are never locked in.
Start with one text
You do not need a proposal request or a long brief. Text or call (604) 632-4959, or email Ali@Sedighi.ca, with your company name, your city and the one part of the season that went worst last year. We meet online by video call or in person, whichever suits you. The contact page lists what helps us answer quickly, and the FAQ covers contracts, ownership and reporting.

-
In-home comfort-advisor sales process
A repeatable in-home visit, from the booking call to the signed proposal, that any trained advisor can run.

Good/better/best option design
Three clear, honest system options per home, so homeowners compare choices instead of comparing you to the next quote.

A maintenance membership that sells itself at the right moments, schedules cleanly and renews without chasing.
-
Dispatch and peak-season capacity
A booking and dispatch routine that holds together when the first cold week fills every slot.
-

Owner reporting and scoreboards
One weekly page of numbers that tells an owner where sales and operations are leaking.
How it works
Send us a short note about your shop
Tell us your crew size, how many furnace quotes you wrote last month and where the work seems to stall. A two-line text is plenty.
Get a written read on the leaks
We look at one stage at a time (booking, the home visit, the proposal, follow-up, memberships, dispatch) and tell you, in writing, which one costs you the most.
Fix one system, then the next
We build the scripts, sheets, cadences and scoreboard with your team and measure the change. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions
What does FurnaceBusiness.ca actually do?
We design and install the sales and operations routines inside a furnace company: the in-home visit, option sheets, membership plans, dispatch rules, quote follow-up and owner reporting. We pair that with the marketing that feeds it. We are a marketing and business consulting service, not a heating contractor, and we never install, repair or service equipment.
Do you sell or arrange furnace financing?
No. We are not a lender or a broker and we make no financing or lending promises. If your company already offers financing through a licensed lender, we can help you present it accurately on an option sheet, using the lender's own terms.
How much does it cost?
Marketing plans follow the published HVAC.Agency prices, from $2,998 a month, and websites start at $3,500. Sales and operations systems work is scoped to your shop and quoted in writing before anything starts. Tax is added based on your province.
We only have two trucks. Is this too much system for us?
Small shops often gain the most, because the owner is the advisor, the dispatcher and the bookkeeper at once. A one-page option sheet, a three-touch follow-up and a ten-line weekly scoreboard can be set up in a few weeks and save the owner hours in January.
Can we meet in person?
Yes. Sit down with us in person, or meet by video call if your trucks keep you tied to the shop; phone, text and email work too. Texting (604) 632-4959 is a good way to start; we take it from there.
Will you change how my technicians work?
Only where it touches selling and scheduling: how a tech flags an aging furnace, how a membership is offered at the end of a call, and what gets written in the job notes. Technical work stays with your licensed people.
